Meet the Dream Team

I consider myself really lucky to work with such a great team of people. It’s not just about the work that we all do together—although we do those things pretty well! It’s our shared history, real commitment and great camaraderie too.  I would be lost without them.

First off, let’s talk about the cleaning team.  Since 2017 I have been lucky to work with Claire & Rachel and all the rest of their cleaning team at Pressing Time, a local Forest of Dean company.  They know the business inside out and have a real eye for detail.  If I’m ill or taken away from the business, they know just what to do.  They are worth their weight in gold!

We support each other and enjoy a real laugh – poor Phil usually gets a real ribbing from them but he bloomin’ loves it!

Secondly but no less important,  there’s my gardening and landscapers – Kevin & Nat from Wye Landscapes.

Kevin has worked for wildlife trusts in the past and is as equally committed to ecology and biodiversity as me and we feel mutually proud of the nature rich habitat we have created here at The Roost.  From the digging of the first pond to the planting of the first hedgerows – Kevin has been at the helm.

Each month he will come to site and usually inspires me with another idea he has for the site.  At the moment, he’s working on a second, much larger pond and it’s landscaping – we can’t wait to show you it this spring.

Finally there’s Phil – love of my life and my wonderful “fix it” man.  If it needs painting, screwing, filing or fixing – Phil is the man!  What would I do without him?  Sit in a corner and sob probably!!!

So here’s to great people and great teams – I am a very, very lucky lady!
